Excused absences must be requested in writing prior to the meeting for which  the excuse is sought. Late submissions are not accepted.

Written excuses can be  in the form of a signed fax to 407-380-9500,  a letter mailed or hand  carried to the OCREC office, an e-mail to the office or using the form on the left. Do not send excuses to  an OCREC officer. Phone calls and voice messages are not accepted.  

In  accordance with the Constitution, by vote of OCREC, the right to approve excused  absences has been delegated to the Membership Committee with the instruction  that ALL excused absences will be automatically approved UNLESS the individual  requesting the excused absence has already missed three meetings in the calendar  year, in which event the excuse will be denied. Members are  required to keep track of their own attendance records to know if they have  missed three meetings in a row
